Tributes to Krishan Sharma
We the members of the European Carrom Confederation pay our respect and tribute to Krishan Sharma, who was not only President of the International Federation, but also Treasurer of the European Carrom Confederation and President of the U.K.C.F. He was one of the founder members of the European Carrom Confederation, who took part in the First Consultative Meeting of the ECC in 1991 at Berlin, Germany and took significant part in the formation of the ECC at its First Congress in 1996 at Unter Ehrendingen, Switzerland.
Inspite of the fact that he had great responsiblities as a President of the ICF, he remained fully devoted to ECC giving full cooperation in making the European Confederation stronger and dynamic. He helped the ECC as Secretary General and later as Treasurer. Krishan loved all Carrom players and was loved by them. He was an excellent human being, a fine and sincere friend, a man with great visions and source of inspiration and fource of guidance.
We pray Alnighty to give peace and protection to his soul and strength to his family to bear this great loss. We express our sympathy with the family of our bereaved friend to the members of the UKCF and hope that they will continue to poularize Carrom in U.K.
We all promise him to carry his torch and work hard to promote Carrom. So that this healthy indoor sport, for which he had devoted his entire energy, develops further, goes to every conrner of Europe and gets its due place in the world of sports.

Homage to Krishan Sharma
(I.C.F. Resolution)
Krishan, as he was known and lovingly called by all of us, was one of the best carrom leaders we ever had and loved by one and all. He was devoted to the game of carrom. He was not only a guiding star in the ICF but was a source of inspiration to all. He was a man of invincible spirit. An energetic and live wire leader, he had a different vision and ideas for the growth and promotion of carrom. It was his dream to get the game of carrom included in the Olympics. It was with his initiatives and efforts, we were very near to get the recognition to our game at the Asian Games level. On that ill fated day also, he worked for carrom and sent some mails. In his last mails, he asked for a soft copy of the Laws of Carrom and a report on the Indian national championship. His departure is a big loss to all of us. Void created by his untimely demise cannot be filled.
His fragrance of generosity, nobility, sincerity to the game and love to all, will always be remembered. We resolve to join hands to fulfill his dreams and continue the pace with which he was working for the promotion of carrom.
We pray to Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and solace to the family to bear this irreparable loss.
On behalf of the ICF, we pass a condolence resolution, as above, and request Mr. Arif Naqvi, Vice-President, ICF and President, ECC, who is planning to take part in the funeral on 15th April 05, to hand over the condolence resolution personally to Mrs. Asha Sharma and convey the feelings of carrom family.
